CD Trojan Wins 2025 Sustainability Initiative of the Year Award
Horsham, PA— August 5, 2025 — C&D Trojan proudly announces it has been awarded the 2025 Sustainability Initiative of the Year Award by the Business Intelligence Group. C&D Trojan was the only battery manufacturer to be presented with the award.

Reduced CO₂e emissions by 2.1% per battery in 2024, building off a 10.9% reduction in 2023.

Decreased waste by 5% per battery while maintaining energy use at zero growth, showcasing efficiency without compromise.

Recycled more than 3.7 million pounds of plastic and 122 million pounds of spent lead-acid batteries, reclaiming 81 million pounds of lead for new production.
C&D Trojan’s lead-acid batteries are 99% recyclable. Additionally, up to 80% reclaimed materials are used to produce each lead-acid battery.
