Infinite Compute. Finite Energy.
What Hollo Apac Delivers for Data Centers
In 2026, global data center capacity is projected to exceed 200 GW. The power density of AI training clusters has surged from 4 kW per rack to 1 MW—a single building now consumes as much electricity as a small city.
Yet the power grid has not kept pace with compute. In Virginia, USA, data centers are expected to account for over 50% of local electricity consumption by 2030. In China's tier-1 cities, the mandatory PUE ≤ 1.3 threshold has brought new data center projects to a standstill. The harsher reality? From grid expansion application to transformer delivery, the average wait time is 5 to 13 years.
This is no longer a question of whether to scale. It is a matter of whether you can survive.
Who Is Hollo?
Suzhou Hollo Clean Energy Technology Research Institute is not an equipment vendor.
We are an industrial research platform built on proprietary systems integration capabilities. We select and reconstruct the world's leading energy and air-handling technologies to deliver native-grade solutions for high-intensity industrial scenarios.
In short: we do not do "parts-assembly" system integration. We perform deep adaptation and reconstruction to make cutting-edge technologies work in real-world global industrial environments.
What Hollo Delivers for Data Centers
Through our strategic partnership with Capstone Green Energy (USA) and the support of Krantz's century-old air-handling technology (Germany), Hollo Apac introduces the HOLLO AIDC 800VDC CCHP Solution—HA800CS, a Distributed Energy Resilience Solution.
It is not a replacement for grid power. It is Energy Sovereignty for your data center.
01 Modular Power: From "Waiting for the Grid" to "Generating Your Own"
The Capstone microturbine is the core engine of the Hollo solution. A single C200 unit delivers 200 kW at under 2 tonnes—stackable like building blocks from hundreds of kW to tens of MW. Unlike heavy-duty gas turbines (100 MW+, 3–5 year delivery), microturbines move from order to grid-connection in just 3–6 months.
What does this mean? No more waiting for grid expansion approvals. No more "160-week transformer lead time" anxiety. Containerized delivery, gas connection, and you are generating power.
02 Waste-Heat-Driven Cooling: Turning "Waste" into "Cold"
The biggest energy drain in a data center is not the servers—it is cooling. Cooling systems account for 30–40% of total data center energy consumption.
Hollo's answer: no electric cooling. Use waste heat to cool.
The high-temperature exhaust (280–329°C) from Capstone microturbines directly drives lithium bromide absorption chillers, producing 7–12°C chilled water for precision air conditioning. No compressors. No high-grade electricity consumption. The "by-product" of power generation alone satisfies the cooling demand. Combined with the Krantz precision air-handling system, temperature and humidity control reaches ±0.5°C / ±2% RH.
Combined result: PUE drops from 1.4–1.6 (traditional grid-powered solutions) to 1.2–1.25. In cities like Beijing and Shanghai, where PUE ≤ 1.3 is the regulatory floor, this is not a "nice-to-have"—it is the price of admission.
03 Energy Surplus Program: Not Just Enough—More Than Enough
The core concept of Capstone ESP (Energy Surplus Program): on-site generation not only meets your own demand—it creates excess capacity.
By integrating microturbine generation, absorption cooling, battery storage, and intelligent microgrid control, HA800CS actively shaves grid load during peak hours. During surplus generation periods, excess power charges storage or drives additional racks online. For data center operators, this is the equivalent of unlocking server-rack-level capacity that was previously trapped by energy infrastructure constraints.
Put plainly: while others worry about whether they have power, you are already preparing to add another row of GPUs.
04 Fault Tolerance & Resilience: When the Grid Fails, Business Must Not
Capstone microturbines in Multi-bay 1 MW configurations offer built-in active redundancy. If one unit fails, the remaining units seamlessly assume the load. Under hot-standby, switchover time is under 5 seconds. Combined with UPS bridging at the second-level, system availability reaches 99.999%.
More critically: microturbines support island mode operation. When the grid fails due to extreme weather, dispatch shortfalls, or other causes, the HA800CS system autonomously disconnects and continues powering—and cooling—the data center. This is something diesel generators cannot do: diesel can generate electricity, but that electricity cannot drive traditional electric chillers. The risk of "power loss = cooling loss" remains ever-present.
For financial data centers, AI training facilities, and government cloud platforms where continuity is non-negotiable, this is not a backup plan. It is the baseline for survival.
05 Carbon-Neutral Pathway: From Natural Gas to Hydrogen—No Hardware Swap
Carbon neutrality is not a slogan. It is a compliance cost for data centers. Microsoft, Google, and Amazon have all committed to net-zero data center operations by 2030.
Capstone microturbines natively support natural gas, biogas, hydrogen, and multi-fuel blending. Run on natural gas today. Blend in 50% hydrogen tomorrow. Switch to 100% green hydrogen the day after—on the same hardware, with no retrofit. This provides enterprises with a gradual transition pathway from fossil fuels to zero-carbon energy, eliminating the risk of betting everything on a single technology.
Add to this air-bearing zero-lubrication design, low NOx emissions (<9 ppm), and dry coolers with zero water consumption, and HA800CS reduces the data center's environmental footprint across emissions, water use, and noise—all at once.
Which Data Centers Need Hollo Most?
Small-to-Medium Data Centers (5–30 MW)
Of 97 global markets, only 8 have sufficient grid capacity to meet 20 MW+ demand. Countless secondary-market IDC operators, financial institutions with self-built facilities, and enterprise private clouds are caught between "grid queue too long" and "heavy-duty turbines too expensive." HA800CS offers modular precision matching, gradual investment, and controllable risk.
AI Compute Centers & HPC Nodes
Rack power densities of 20–100 kW is unprecedented. Traditional UPS + diesel architectures are stretched beyond their limits. HA800CS's waste-heat cooling directly resolves the dual bottleneck of "not enough power, not enough cooling."
Edge Computing & 5G Base Station Support
The C65 single module delivers 65 kW at 750 kg—deployable on rooftops, parking structures, or basement mezzanines. Air-bearing low-noise operation and extended maintenance intervals make it ideal for unattended urban edge nodes.
Data Center Energy Retrofits
Legacy facilities with non-compliant PUE face shutdown, but IT loads cannot stop. HA800CS can overlay a modular energy system without disrupting existing operations, enabling "run while you retrofit."
Why Hollo—Not Anyone Else?
We do not sell standalone machines. We deliver Energy Resilience.
Hollo's value is not that we have a Capstone microturbine. It is that we know how to embed that microturbine into a data center's energy topology—synergizing with lithium bromide chillers, coordinating with battery storage, coupling with Krantz air-handling systems, and orchestrating via the E-SMARTO intelligent dispatch platform.
We offer three engagement models:
- Equipment Sales + EPC Turnkey: For well-capitalized, fast-decision enterprise clients.
- Energy Management Contracting (EMC): Hollo invests in the plant; the client pays via shared energy savings. Zero upfront capital.
- Equipment Leasing: Monthly rental payments. Flexible renewal or return at contract end. Adapts to business volatility.
From site survey, solution design, equipment selection, and installation commissioning to 24/7 remote O&M, Hollo provides full-lifecycle service. Our after-sales team does not wait for things to break. Through real-time online monitoring, we solve problems before failures occur.
Closing Words
The competition among data centers is shifting from a "compute race" to an "energy race."
While others are locked in place by grid expansion timelines, dragged down by electric-chiller PUE penalties, or forced to shutter legacy facilities under carbon-neutrality pressure—only data centers with autonomous energy infrastructure have the right to talk about "infinite compute."
What Hollo Apac delivers is not a generator. What we deliver is Energy Sovereignty for your data center.
