Introducing SWEP B327 and SWEP B224, latest heat-transfer products from SWEP, designed to address growing market demand for data center cooling and district energy systems
Committed to a sustainable future
“SWEPs is committed to advancing efficient heat transfer solutions to support the rapid evolution of data centers,” says Ulrika Nordqvist, SWEP President. “Being at the forefront of market development and demand for products that meet the future of efficient, sustainable cooling and heat reuse is a core mission for SWEP. Both the B224 and B327 from SWEP reflect this goal.”
Designed for extreme cooling challenges
With these goals in mind, SWEP B327 and B224 have been developed to expand the offering of liquid cooling solutions for data centers. Both units are optimized for single-phase applications, such as coolant distribution units (CDUs) and district heating and cooling systems, and share important design features, including large ports for high flow rates, low pressure drop, and high thermal efficiency.
A closer look at SWEP B224
SWEP’s new B224 is a significant advancement in cooling technology, suitable for many applications and designed to enhance cooling solutions for data centers, district heating, compressor-oil cooling and other single-phase applications. The SWEP B224 is a further development of the appreciated B250AS but with enlarged ports to accommodate up to +125% higher flows.
Small footprint, big cooling
The SWEP B224 is engineered for high thermal efficiency and low pressure drop in a compact format that is ideal for confined spaces. With dimensions of only 620 x 202 mm, it is easy to install, even in tight spaces alongside pumps and pipes. It is therefore ideal to use in coolant distribution units (CDUs) in data centers where it exchanges heat between the heat transfer fluid (PG25) and the facility water system. It features a port size of 63 mm, with a maximum volume flow of 61.7 m³/h. Its maximum number of plates is 300 and its pressure class is 35 bar(g) at 20°C, with UL approval for a maximum pressure at 31/31 bar(g).
A closer look at SWEP B327
The B327 is the newest addition to SWEP’s range of large heat exchangers, and its specialized design and performance characteristics present a unique offering in the market. The B327 features a slim profile, superior thermal length, and balanced pressure drop, delivering optimal efficiency. Its large ports facilitate high capacity and flow rates and with the possibility of both symmetric and asymmetric subtypes. In addition to cooling duties, the SWEP B327 is also the ideal solution to capture excess heat for reuse—from data centers or in heating substations and tap water stations up to 1000kW.
