nextlab Signs Strategic AI Partnership with Indonesia's APJII
APJII represents approximately 1,500 internet service providers across Indonesia and serves as a central pillar of the country's ICT ecosystem. Through this partnership, nextlab will help APJII establish full data sovereignty over its national internet quality infrastructure — data that has long been controlled by foreign service platforms — while also automating repetitive administrative tasks across its member network.
nextlab has signed a strategic AI partnership with APJII (Asosiasi Penyelenggara Jasa Internet Indonesia), Indonesia's largest association of internet service providers, representing approximately 1,500 ISPs nationwide.
The partnership centers on two initiatives. The first is the joint development of a national public internet quality measurement platform. Although internet quality data has long been generated within Indonesia, the platforms and data ownership have been controlled by foreign service companies, forcing local stakeholders to repurchase their own data at significant cost. Through this new platform, APJII will establish full data sovereignty over its national internet quality infrastructure.
The second initiative is the introduction of an AI agent-based workflow automation solution. By automating repetitive administrative tasks — including fee collection and member inquiries across more than 1,500 member organizations — APJII aims to improve operational efficiency and redirect resources toward higher-value initiatives.
nextlab has spent over five years delivering AI-based network quality management solutions to Korea's three major telecom operators — KT, LG U+, and SK Broadband — and this partnership builds on that track record. Following the establishment of its Indonesian subsidiary, PT. NEXTLAB TECHNOLOGY ASIA, in March 2026, nextlab continues to expand its presence in the Southeast Asian market.
