PFCT Commercializes Two New AIRPACK Products, Cutting Risk Management Time by 80%
This article covers the commercial launch of AIRPACK's AIRLab and AIRStudio, how each product speeds up data processing, strategy design, and deployment for financial institutions, and CEO Lee Soo-hwan's comments on how PFCT is solving the industry's network-separation and AI-talent challenges — along with the upcoming rollout to Koryo Savings Bank.
AI fintech company PFCT (PFC Technologies) announced on the 19th that it is fully commercializing AIRLab, the strategy analysis solution, and AIRStudio, the operations solution, both part of its AI risk management package AIRPACK. The two products are designed to dramatically reduce the time financial institutions spend on risk management, substantially improving not only performance but also productivity and operational efficiency.
AIRPACK consists of three products: AIRModel, an AI credit scoring model built on strategies customized for each financial institution; AIRLab, which handles data analysis and strategy design; and AIRStudio, which manages the operation and performance monitoring of established strategies.
AIRLab is an AI analytics solution that helps financial institutions rapidly preprocess large volumes of data and automatically design optimal risk strategies through AI-based analysis. It improves data processing speed roughly 30-fold compared to existing systems, cutting analysis work that used to take 500 minutes down to around 15 minutes. Designing complex strategies, which previously took more than two weeks, is now reduced to just a single day, enabling a genuine transformation in how risk managers work.
Strategy models designed in AIRLab are deployed in real time into a financial institution's operating systems through AIRStudio. Previously, applying a changed strategy required at least four weeks; AIRStudio cuts this to within one week, reducing operational lead time by about 75%. AIRStudio also provides monitoring functions that detect strategy performance and anomalies in real time, allowing institutions to respond immediately to the constantly shifting online lending environment and customer credit risk.
Both products come equipped with an AI agent feature that allows the latest open-source AI tools to be used even within the network-separated environments required in the financial sector. This lets risk managers implement Python-based strategy and operational logic directly through automated coding, without dedicated development staff, while also receiving insights from analysis of customer changes and asset flows, along with suggested timing for strategy revisions.
CEO Lee Soo-hwan said, "Conservative IT infrastructure in the financial sector, network-separation regulations, and a shortage of AI specialists have long made it difficult to adopt AI risk management technology, but PFCT has solved both challenges — regulatory compliance and technical flexibility — simultaneously through AIRPACK." He added, "AIRLab and AIRStudio, now fully commercialized, will give financial institutions the foundation to build and operate their own AI risk strategies, meaningfully improving the inefficiencies and weakened strategy execution that exist in current systems."
Meanwhile, PFCT has confirmed that it will first supply AIRLab and AIRStudio to Koryo Savings Bank, an affiliate of the Taekwang Group, in July, and plans to move forward with sales in earnest in both domestic and overseas markets.
