PLAINBIT shares Cyber Security Landscape in Asia at AFSN & APMLA KOREA 2025

PLAINBIT, a leading digital forensics and incident response company, announced that it presented real-world cyber security cases at AFSN & APMLA KOREA 2025.

The 2025 conference, jointly organized by the Asia Forensic Sciences Network (AFSN) and the Asia Pacific Medico-Legal Agencies (APMLA), was hosted in Korea this year by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and the National Forensic Service.

Marking the 70th anniversary of the National Forensic Service, the event brought together around 1,000 participants, including ministers, vice-ministers, institutional heads, and experts from forensic science and legal medicine organizations both in Korea and abroad.

Speaking on the topic “The DFIR Landscape in Asia,” Beom Jin Kim, Head of Plainbit Singapore, noted that “the DFIR (Digital Forensics and Incident Response) field in Asia is rapidly evolving due to increasingly sophisticated cyber threats and shifting data regulations in each country.” He shared insights into attackers’ changing tactics, the challenges DFIR professionals are facing, and practical case studies.

Plainbit has been accredited as a KOLAS-certified testing organization in the digital forensics field, securing credibility for investigative and judicial institutions in 116 member countries of the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC). Building on this foundation, the company provides digital evidence analysis for civil and criminal cases as well as incident response services, positioning itself as a leader in the security market.

Jinkook Kim, CEO of Plainbit, stated, “The importance of digital forensics services and evidence data management is steadily growing in the fields of forensic science and legal medicine. Based on globally trusted standards and verification systems, we will continue to present new paradigms.”
