Taipei National Palace Museum introduces a new AR Smart Guide that uses AI recognition technology combined with XR technology. Visitors scan a QR-code to start the Augmented Reality experience. Then simply point their phone camera at an exhibit, and the technology automatically identifies it, providing dedicated digital explanations and extended knowledge. Visitors can instantly turn their own phones into a museum guide, woithout the need to download an app or rely on renting a separate guide machine.

AI recognition combined with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) Smart Response creates a virtual guide assistant that can instantly answer visitors' questions, offering a more intuitive, reliable, and highly interactive experience. The AI quickly supplements comprehensive information, enhancing the efficiency of the tour.

This system not only allows visitors to "see more and understand deeper," but its specially designed thematic tour routes also help them locate core themed exhibits within the hall. Through interactive "stamp collection" activities, visitors gain a complete understanding of the exhibit's features and historical background. Furthermore, the spectacular presentation of Augmented Reality 3D visualization of the exhibits allows visitors to appreciate the items up close and from every angle, as well as interact and take photos with them. This multi-language application creates a new, smart, immersive, and highly scalable model for cultural immersion.
