USER Expands its Business Transformation Capabilities with AI-powered Services

We are User Experience Researchers, one of Asia's leading players in the user experience industry, specialising in UX consultancy services, business transformation through agile development, and innovative workforce solutions. This year we are expanding our capabilities with more AI-powered services to help any organisation in any industry.

[SINGAPORE, August 2025] – Singapore continues to lead at the forefront of digital transformation, not just in Asia but also from a global perspective with its Smart Nation vision.  Helping the country achieve its goal of a thriving digital environment through artificial intelligence (AI) solutions is User Experience Researchers (USER), one of Singapore’s pioneer players in user experience (UX). An established leader not just in UX but also digital transformation and workforce solutions, USER cultivated fertile ground for companies to experiment with and implement with scalable, sustainable, and customised AI solutions.

The company is taking bold steps to expand its capabilities, integrating enterprise-level AI into its core offerings to help optimise both customer-facing platforms and provide a reliable backbone for critical business processes. Combining their expertise in research, agile development, and data-driven strategy, USER is expanding more than its array of services but also to more industries and regions.

“Our mission has always been to improve lives through intelligent design and thoughtful innovation,” says Dr Frank Qiu, CEO and Founder of USER. “By integrating AI into our systems and services, we are not only improving operational efficiency for organisations but also creating more empathetic, personalised experiences for people. This is where technology and humanity meet and thrive. We are to help everyone leverage what technology has to offer and turn it into a productive tool they can use to achieve their goals.”

Recognising the Role of AI in Modern Enterprise Competitiveness

When implemented with precision, purpose, and used in the right context, AI is truly a strategic advantage for just about any business. While the adoption of AI into various departments of modern enterprises has surged within the last five or so years, many still face fundamental challenges into utilising the full capability of these tools to convert them into successful, measurable outcomes.

The most common issue lies in a widespread lack of understanding about how to integrate AI in a way that aligns with real business problems. More often than not, companies adopt AI tools without a clear use case or a well-defined problem to solve, in a rush to improve productivity or sometimes even just to comply with requirements from clients. Actions like this result in underutilised platforms, siloed data, and an overwhelmed workforce uncertain about how to interact with the technology.

Even global enterprises have committed similar mistakes in this space. For example, several large retailers in Asia-Pacific and Europe rolled out AI-driven customer service chatbots that failed to meet basic customer expectations due to poor natural language training and misaligned workflows. The goal was to reduce costs while improving service. However, instead of the expected results, these systems created more frustrations instead for users, triggered an increase in human escalations, and led to reputational damage.

In another instance, a multinational financial institution invested heavily in predictive analytics for fraud detection, but when it was put into action, it failed miserably. Decision-makers realised, months into deployment, that the AI model had been trained on outdated data and biased parameters. The result was a costly remediation process and delayed trust in future digital investments.

Such missteps are not due to a lack of ambition, but rather the complexity of enterprise AI itself. There’s more to successfully implementing AI than having the latest model or approach—it requires a deep understanding of people, processes, and system interoperability. From process outsourcing to public administration to energy and logistics, each sector has distinct needs, constraints, and user expectations that AI must be tailored to accommodate.

USER recognises these nuances in varying needs. Our approach to AI innovation is grounded in strategic discovery, ensuring that every implementation begins with problem identification, stakeholder engagement, and a realistic review of the existing infrastructure. By embedding AI according to the identified needs of operations and human workflows, we avoid the trap of redundant tech spend and ensure that innovation creates long-term, scalable impact.

In essence, true competitiveness comes not from plainly adopting AI, but from adapting it to deliver genuine business value.

Applying Innovation to Real World Situations: USER’s AI Solutions in Select Industries

Ideas are best put to use where they will produce the most results. USER’s most significant breakthroughs in AI lie in its cross-industry applications, and they have helped our partners in education technology, healthcare, and industrial automation.

For a leading institute in Singapore, USER developed an AI-powered system that automated student record-keeping and payment transactions, significantly reducing administrative overhead and human error in processing. This streamlined approach not only improved operational accuracy but also freed up staff time for more strategic work.

In another project focused on mentorship-based learning, USER deployed machine learning algorithms to monitor student progress in real time. The system matched students with mentors effectively and provided tailored feedback loops. This dramatically improved both retention rates and made the mentor-student matching much easier and more effective.

A third initiative introduced gamified, adaptive learning powered by an AI learning algorithm. Students were given the ability to customise their educational journey based on their individual pace and preferences. By analysing user behaviour and progress, the platform continuously adjusted learning modules to ensure continuous engagement and comprehension is reached. This personalisation enhanced student motivation and produced measurably improved performance in students. It also helped educators learn more about student learning behaviours and adjusted their teaching styles to adapt to changing needs.

Beyond education, USER has also integrated AI services for a large hospital chain in Asia with a focus on chronic condition management. It is part of a larger project that included telemedicine, record keeping, and customer-facing interfaces. For the AI solution, USER integrated real-time data from wearable IoT devices, enabling healthcare providers to monitor patients' vital signs. The system alerted healthcare providers to anomalies, reduced unnecessary in-person visits, and improved patient adherence to treatment protocols.

These case studies underscore the transformative power of applied AI when it is designed around people and optimised for the specific workflows of each industry.

Unlocking the Full Potential of AI Across Business Functions

Despite the significant advancements in AI in the digital age, USER believes humanity has only scratched the surface of its full potential for the modern enterprise. As custom software solutions evolve, AI will become an integral component of businesses and their different departments to address both employee and customer needs. The range of where AI can help can span all industries, from finance to logistics and even to talent acquisition and research.

One particularly promising area is recruitment, where AI can be leveraged to scan global talent pools, identify top offshore candidates, and predict role suitability based on behavioural data. Using AI implements to automate screening, filtering, and scheduling, companies can innovate their hiring process with data-driven hiring decisions, building stronger, diverse teams at scale.

Furthermore, by implementing AI in internal workflows such as knowledge management, project tracking, and resource allocation, organisations can further hammer down operational costs while improving employee satisfaction through better user experience. Customised AI models trained on company-specific data can help guide not just decision-makers but other associates within the organisation as “digital assistants” that empower teams in real time.

As adoption grows, the ability to balance automation with human intuition will define the next generation of high-performing organisations. USER stands ready to guide clients through this evolving landscape with tailored strategies that put people at the heart of AI transformation.

Towards an Intelligent Future, Powered by Empathy and Innovation

As complexity and speed become central points of innovation, USER believes that the future will be won by organisations that combine cutting-edge technology with a deep understanding of human needs.

“Our work with AI is more than just automating processes,” concludes Dr Frank Qiu. “It’s about building systems that learn with people, grow with people, and ultimately serve the human good. We’re building software to shape the future of interaction, inclusion, and innovation.”

With AI capabilities now deeply embedded into its service portfolio, User Experience Researchers is poised to lead the next chapter in digital transformation—where intuitive design, intelligent systems, and human empathy converge to elevate customer experience and enterprise value alike.
