Nine Authentication Methods

PassLogic supports all three authentication factors: knowledge, possession, and biometrics. Its nine authentication methods can be flexibly combined to meet different security policies and operational requirements.

1. PassLogic Authentication (Grid Authentication)

Generate a one-time password by reading numbers from a randomized grid according to your own predefined pattern.
Your pattern = positions + sequence.

• A randomized grid is displayed on the login screen.
• Users generate a one-time password by reading the numbers according to their predefined pattern.
• Users only need to remember the positions and sequence of their pattern, eliminating the need to memorize a static password.

Not Just Numbers — Letters and Symbols Can Be Added

A fixed string containing letters, symbols, or other characters can also be inserted before, after, or within the one-time password for additional security.

2. Client Certificates

Supports client certificate authentication to restrict access from unauthorized PCs and smartphones. It can be combined with other authentication methods to implement multi-factor authentication (MFA).

3. Cookie Authentication

Uses cookies to identify authorized devices. It provides convenient device-based authentication while helping prevent unauthorized access.

4. Face Recognition (Web Face Recognition)

Uses a camera to verify the user's identity through facial recognition technology, providing strong security and convenient authentication without complex user operations.

Currently available only in Japan. Availability outside Japan is under consideration.

5. PassLogic Authenticator: One-Time Password

Enables one-time password authentication using a mobile app, eliminating the need for dedicated hardware tokens and providing secure access from a smartphone.

6. PassLogic Authenticator: Bingo-Style

Generates a one-time password by reading characters from a randomized grid according to a predefined pattern. It combines intuitive operation with strong authentication security.

7. PassLogic Authenticator: Login Protect

Allows users to control whether login attempts are accepted. Unless the user explicitly permits the login, access is denied even when the correct password is entered, helping prevent unauthorized access.

8. PassLogic Authenticator: Login Protect + Biometric Authentication

Combines Login Protect with the smartphone's biometric authentication, adding another layer of identity verification while maintaining ease of use.

9. Hardware Token

Supports one-time password authentication using a physical hardware token. This option is suitable for environments with strict security requirements and can be integrated into existing authentication workflows.
