The ZQDB zero flow resistance blind mate coupling is an NVIDIA project aimed at developing an open standard, low resistance quick coupling for data center liquid cooling applications. ZQDB adopts a full flow ball valve blind mate structure with a spherical valve core. Once connected, the internal flow passage forms a full bore path, providing flow performance close to that of a pipe with the same inner diameter. The plug and socket do not provide self locking when connected and therefore require an external locking mechanism to maintain engagement.
