Data centres provide a crucial service to clients and need to operate reliably without interruption. That means fire detection has to function seamlessly even in challenging conditions, offering early warning of an incident without false alarms. Protecting them from fires is a complex task, as high and turbulent air currents make it difficult to detect diluted, early-stage smoke.

Securiton offers a comprehensive solution that covers all areas of a data centre, with specific detection systems tailored to each challenge. With their multiple alarm levels, SecuriSmoke ASD aspirating smoke detectors provide very early warning smoke detection, support appropriate interventions and trigger extinguishing systems automatically.

One significant concern is the phenomenon of off-gassing, a process where lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries emit potentially hazardous gases under certain conditions. Our new Prevent-iON® is listed as an open & modular sensor platform designed to detect hazardous gases and mitigate fire risks in battery rooms. The system has a UL certification and fulfills NFPA codes for Lithium-ion Energy Storage.
