Cezary Piekarski is the Group Chief Information Security Officer at Standard Chartered. He joined the Bank in January 2019 and is based in Singapore. With over two decades of experience in security management, technology security, forensic and antifraud leadership roles, Cezary has established himself as a prominent figure in the field. At Standard Chartered, he successfully built the Cyber Defence & Threat Management function within the Bank’s global cyber security services and led the Technology & Innovation Competence Centre, a key part of the Warsaw-based Global Business Services entity. Prior to his tenure at Standard Chartered, Cezary served as the Chief Security Officer (CSO) for Bank Millennium and spearheaded transformational security projects for clients across Central Europe and beyond while at Deloitte. He is a frequent speaker at security conferences in Poland and Europe and has contributed at various domestic and international programme and advisory boards. He was the co-creator and lead lecturer of “Information Security Management”, the largest postgraduate programme for security professionals offered by the Warsaw School of Economics in Poland. Cezary holds degrees from the University of Quebec in Montreal, Canada, and Oxford Brookes University in the UK.
