Prof. Dorothy Chau is an Adjunct Professor at Hong Kong Baptist University, where she teaches Master’s programmes, focusing on AI, data governance, and emerging technologies. She also serves as SVP of Security Assurance and APAC Data Protection Officer at a global fintech company, overseeing enterprise security assurance and cross-border data protection. Prof. Chau is an Exam Board Member and authorised trainer for the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), and the recipient of the Women in IT Award for Outstanding Contribution of the Year. She is a frequent speaker on AI security, privacy, and responsible innovation.
