"Yihong is the Executive Director of Suntar International Group. Since joining the company in 2015, he has overseen strategic planning across the group’s diverse portfolio in Southeast Asia, South Asia, and the Middle East. Before assuming his current role, Yihong was responsible for establishing Suntar’s Northwest China manufacturing facility in Yan An, Shaanxi. His contributions to the water industry were recognized in 2019 when he received the prestigious “First China Youth Elite Award in the Water Industry” at the 14th Qingdao International Water Conference. Prior to his work with Suntar, Yihong founded Siyuan, a social enterprise dedicated to providing purified drinking water to schools in rural China, underscoring his commitment to sustainable and socially responsible ventures. Earlier in his career, he held roles in private equity and banking, working in major financial centers such as Beijing and New York, where he honed skills in due diligence, negotiations, and project execution. Yihong holds a PhD in Information Systems and Analytics from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor
