Prof. Dr. PS Lee
Programme Director,
Sustainable Tropical Data Centre Testbed
Dr Poh Seng (PS) Lee is Professor and Head of Mechanical Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Executive Director of the Energy Studies Institute (ESI), where he shapes policy-relevant research on energy transitions. He is also the Coordinating Director for NUS Energy Solutions Hub (NESH) and co-leads the Singapore Energy Consortium. A Fellow of ASME and IES, PS is recognised among the world’s most-cited mechanical engineers. He leads the Sustainable Tropical Data Centre Testbed (STDCT), an open, vendor-neutral platform validating AI-era thermal/power stacks - direct-to-chip and immersion liquid cooling, low-water heat rejection, DC/AC distribution choices, and AI-native controls - with auditable KPIs (PUE, WUE, reliability and carbon intensity). His teams work closely with operators and OEMs to convert technology pilots into replicable playbooks for high-density, low-carbon digital infrastructure.
