Gunalan Kaniasan is the Head of Water Infrastructure team for Amazon Web services (AWS) in APJC. He has 20 years of experience on Water infrastructure and facilities management in Semiconductor, microelectronics and Data Center environment. In his current role, he oversees Water delivery and water sustainability in APJC including delivering utility-scale water infrastructure projects, some first of its kind in India, Japan, Singapore, Australia, and Indonesia. Prior joining AWS, Gunalan was supporting Western Digital’s (WD) largest front end substrate manufacturing plant in the world as a Facilities Director. Prior to WD, he was holding various facilities positions in microelectronic companies, namely onsemiconductor, Sunpower, Infineon Technologies and Samsung. He holds Bachelor of Science Degree with Honours in Analytical and Environmental Chemistry from University of Malaysia Terengganu.
