Jia Woei Ling currently acts as Regional Director for Data Analytics business for Google Cloud. He has end-to-end accountability for Data Analytics products across APAC and he reports directly to Google Cloud VP for APAC. Jia Woei has more than 27 years of working experience including 8 years in China. Prior to Google, Jia Woei was the Managing Director of North Asia for Databricks for about 3 years and he built up the business from scratch and was awarded the Sales Leader of the Year for APAC in FY24. Before Databricks, Jia Woei was the General Manager for Microsoft Azure Greater China where he was responsible for all aspects of Microsoft Azure business including strategy, planning, execution, advocacy, governance and learning. Prior to Microsoft, Jia Woei worked at AWS for 9 years, where he was responsible for building the business in the Asia-Pacific and Greater China region, and participated in the launch of AWS in China. During his tenure, Jia Woei laid the foundation of the AWS current business in China and grew the business to more than 1B USD during his time in AWS. Before AWS, Jia Woei had over 15 years of success in sales and leading technical teams in well-known enterprises, such as IBM, Salesforce.com and Siebel Systems. Jia Woei holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree from National University of Singapore and currently lives in Singapore with his wife and two children.
