Jim Walsh is Vice President and General Manager of GE Vernova’s Consulting Services, where he leads a global team of power systems experts helping solve some of the energy industry’s most complex planning, stability and integration challenges. His team works alongside developers, EPCs, utilities, system operators and major energy users to understand how increasingly complex power systems should be planned, architected and integrated. With deep experience spanning power systems, industrial controls and software, Jim brings a systems-level perspective to the challenges facing large infrastructure projects today. His work increasingly sits at the intersection of power system planning and technology, bringing together engineering expertise with generation, transmission, storage, power conversion, controls and software to help shape integrated power systems from the outset. Jim has held senior leadership roles across GE’s energy, software and industrial technology businesses since joining the company in 2008. He previously served as a Vice President at GE Digital and held leadership roles across GE’s automation, controls and industrial software businesses, including President and CEO of GE Automation and Controls. Prior to GE, Jim spent 19 years at 3M. Jim holds a degree in Finance from the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota.
