Kabilan Elangovan is an AI Scientist at Singapore Health Services (SingHealth), where he works on the development, evaluation, and clinical translation of trustworthy artificial intelligence systems for healthcare. With five years of experience in healthcare AI, his work spans medical imaging, explainable AI, large language models, and clinical decision-support applications. His current focus is on developing robust evaluation frameworks for high-stakes clinical AI, with particular emphasis on model safety, explainability, reproducibility, evidence provenance, and human clinical validation. He also contributes to the development of AI-enabled clinical screening tools, patient-facing applications, and institutional AI education initiatives. Kabilan has authored more than 20 peer-reviewed publications and actively supports the responsible adoption of AI in healthcare through research, multidisciplinary collaboration, and educational programmes.
