Kunal Shah is a global water, waste and bioenergy business leader with over 16 years of experience driving investment, growth and strategy across the climate infrastructure space. From complex water and wastewater to waste and bioenergy infrastructure, Kunal has been at the forefront of developing and building over a billion USD worth of carbon negative and water positive sustainable infrastructure globally. Kunal recently joined Aquatech International, one of the world’s leading industrial water platforms, as Senior Vice President & Head of Global Development Co building sustainable water and critical minerals infrastructure. Prior to this, he was Chief Growth Officer & Managing Director Asia at Anaergia, Canadian Listed global Waste to Biogas player. Prior to Anaergia, Kunal was Country Manager – Malaysia & Indonesia and a member of Global Business Development Team at VA Tech Wabag, a global water company listed on BSE, India. Kunal is actively engaged in a number of professional activities such as serving on Advisory Board representing Asia Pacific at the World Biogas Association, UK, Vice President (Sustainability & New Initiatives) and Council Member of Singapore Water Association, Global Advisory Council member of Global Water Impact Fund, Advisory Council member of Imagine H2O Asia and Advisory Board of Xprize for water scarcity. Kunal grew up in India and has spent majority of his career across countries in Asia building an extensive network of industry and investor relationships across Asia Pacific, US and Europe. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from University of Pune.
