In his role as the Head of Artificial Intelligence and Automation (AIA) at Singapore General Hospital (SGH), Chia Kuok Wei leads a dynamic team in harnessing Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Extended Reality solutions, as well as automation technologies such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA), through project management and citizen development programmes, to elevate clinical and operational processes within the hospital. With over 10 years of experience at SGH and holding certifications as a Six Sigma Black Belt and Lean Healthcare Practitioner, Kuok Wei specializes in spearheading healthcare quality improvement and innovation projects. His expertise extends beyond healthcare, having dedicated 4 years as a civil servant in a Statutory Board where he focused on industry development and strategy management in the areas of sports and health promotion. Driven by a belief in the transformative power of technology, Kuok Wei envisions that successful implementations in the healthcare system would serve as multipliers in delivering profound impacts on patient outcomes and staff well-being at a substantial scale.
