Marcus heads the Safety & Security Chapter at ASTAR Institute of Advanced Intelligence and Computing (ASTAR IAIC), leading the trust layer for AI-native R&D. His role is to enable AI-speed innovation while embedding proportionate trust-by-design practices across the institute—helping researchers adopt AI responsibly, safeguard co-created R&D know-how, and develop trusted AI systems that can scale across both the institute and A*STAR. Concurrently, Marcus leads the Digital Trust & Security (DTS) Group within the Digital Services Directorate, where I shape research strategy, build high-performing multidisciplinary teams, and translate advanced cybersecurity research into deployable technologies, industry platforms, and capabilities that strengthen Singapore's digital trust ecosystem and national cyber resilience.
