Michael L. Gierges is President, Climate Solutions Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa for Carrier. In this role, he leads the company's strategy, growth and operations and entire end to end business across one of Carrier's most diverse and rapidly evolving regions. His long-term priorities center on accelerating business transformation, advancing customer-centric innovation and driving sustainable growth through digitally enabled solutions and a multi-brand, multi-tier market approach. Under his leadership, Carrier continues to expand its support for high-growth industries across the region, backed by advanced cooling, controls and lifecycle solutions. Prior to joining Carrier, he served as President and Executive Vice President for the Home & Distribution division at Schneider Electric, where he led the global strategy and execution of Residential and Commercial Buildings Solutions with an emphasis on innovative direct current systems, solid state electronics and home energy management systems. Prior to that, Michael held leadership roles at ABB, including Global Commercial Sales & Marketing Manager for Building & Home Automation and Head of ABB Building Solutions for the Americas, expanding ABB's presence in the global smart building and smart home markets. Michael holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, majoring in electronics and communication from AAST and a leadership degree from IMD Business School.
