Professor Michelle Simmons AO is the world's leading materials scientist, Founder and CEO of Silicon Quantum Computing (SQC). Michelle is the pioneer of atomic electronics and SQC is the highest precision engineering company in the world, based in Sydney, and the outright leader in silicon-based quantum computing. SQC will deliver the world's first commercial scale quantum computer in 2033 and already sells application-specific quantum processors to enterprise customers including Australian Defence. SQC was proud to be selected as part of DARPAs Quantum Benchmarking Initiative earlier this year, alongside other leading quantum computing companies. A member of Royal Society, Michelle won the Australian of the Year award in 2018
