Professor Dean Ho is Provost’s Chair Professor and Director of the Institute for Digital Medicine (WisDM) at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, Director of the N.1 Institute for Health (N.1), and Head of the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS). He and his team launched a first-in-kind trial - with Prof. Ho as the test subject - to optimize performance and biomarkers using AI. The study has been featured on television, digital media, and at major global meetings. His team also manages over 10 human trials with life-saving outcomes. A serial entrepreneur, Prof. Ho advises health, human performance, nutrition, and wearable technology teams, as well as venture funds, on AI-driven medicine. Prof. Ho is an elected Fellow of the US National Academy of Inventors (NAI), the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE), and the Royal Society of Chemistry. He is also Co-Chair of the World Health Organization (WHO) Working Group on AI regulation for health.
