Rebecca Green is the regional industry lead for technology in APAC and is a Partner based in Tokyo. Leveraging her background in commercial real estate, she has supported the development of data center projects across the region, from new market entry through to operations. Rebecca began her career at ERM over 16 years ago, leading sustainability projects for the built environment in Japan, Korea, Singapore, Thailand and Hong Kong. She transitioned roles to lead a power sector team in Japan, with focus on the renewable energy projects including solar, wind, and small-scale hydropower, some of which were utilized to meet customer’s carbon neutrality goals. In her current role, she works with hyperscale clients to understand the complexities associated with siting and operating data centers in APAC, working across projects in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Indonesia, India, Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia. Rebecca has helped to design and deliver data center projects including new market entry, due diligence, community engagement, permitting reviews, legal registers, health and safety, and ESG readiness across the region. Additionally, Rebecca has supported renewable energy policy and data center infrastucture discussions via the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan, where she started the Energy and Environment Committee and is currently serving on the Board of Governors.
