Robert Bedington is CTO and co‑founder of SpeQtral, a Singapore-based company working to make quantum-secure communications practical at global scale. His background is in quantum optics and small satellites, and he has spent much of his career turning lab-based quantum technologies into real systems—from CubeSat missions like SpooQy‑1 to commercial QKD payloads and optical ground stations. Today, he focuses on deploying quantum networks in the real world, working with partners across government and industry. Robert was named to MIT Technology Review’s Innovators Under 35 and is driven by a broader interest in future technologies—from quantum networks and computing to the deeper questions they raise about information, reality, and intelligence.
