Steve Mills is a Technical Lead at Meta with 25+ years of experience solving multi-domain challenges—mechanical, thermal, power, and data center design—to enable breakthrough AI at scale. He holds 48 U.S. patents spanning thermal design, EMI containment, system architecture, and liquid-cooled IT systems. He developed Meta's Rack and Power Systems for Open Rack V1–V3—now the industry standard for AI compute infrastructure—and serves as an Open Compute Project's Steering Committee member leading the Cooling Environments Project. He helps define Meta's future AI-enabled data center architecture, building solutions from silicon to hyperscale.
