Tu The Hien is the Chief Technology Officer at Cake Digital Bank, Vietnam’s leading digital bank, serving over six million users with a full range of services — from lending and cards to payments and investment — all built in just four years. He’s the driving force behind Cake’s cloud-native, AI-first platform, developing critical systems entirely in-house, including card issuing, core banking, eKYC, credit scoring, and an AI-powered contact center. Before Cake, Hien was the founding engineer and CTO of Be Group, Vietnam’s homegrown ride-hailing and multi-service leader.
