Tanu is a seasoned tax professional with experience in International Taxation, M&A Tax, insurance taxation, Indirect tax and Transfer Pricing with Senior Management / Board level reporting. She has worked with Big 4 accounting firms and the insurance industry during her 23 years of experience. She specializes in tax matters related to the Insurance and Fund Management sectors and has experience with compliance issues related to Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption. Tanu is currently the Head of Asia Pacific Tax team of Swiss Re leading a team across 7 Asian jurisdictions, covering taxes of over 14 markets. She has also led numerous projects to implement new tax structures, implementing IFRS 17 in the insurance tax world, implement BEPS Pillar 1 and 2, defend tax audits, perform tax diligence on numerous M&A deals and maintain oversight in deployment of Group wide tax technology. She also has experience dealing with Advance Pricing Agreements across India, Japan, Singapore and New Zealand. Her career has given her significant international experience in working in Singapore, Hong Kong and India, with extensive cross-border and regional responsibilities.
