Thorbjörn Fors is the Group Senior Vice President of Siemens Energy and Managing Director of Siemens Energy Asia Pacific. Fors is responsible for overseeing regional operations across the Pacific and South-East Asia and driving the company to a profitable growth. Before his current appointment, Fors has held multiple senior management positions, including Executive Vice President of Siemens Energy’s Industrial Applications Division and the CEO of Distributed Generation and Oil & Gas business unit at Siemens, a position created by the merger of Dresser-Rand, Rolls Royce Energy Services, and Siemens Distributed Generation Services. Prior joining Siemens, Fors held leadership positions at ABB Power Generation and ALSTOM, with responsibilities extending across Canada, Asia, Australia, Middle East, and Northern Europe.
