Dr. William Lee is a Senior Research Director in IDC's Enterprise Infrastructure global research domain, where he leads research on compute and datacenter infrastructure. He delivers market insight and strategic analysis on datacenter facilities, the infrastructure housed within them, and the supply chain dynamics shaping hyperscalers, service providers, and enterprise datacenters, spanning AI buildouts, sovereign AI initiatives, and global ODM/OEM supply chains. With over 20 years in ICT research and advisory across datacenter, cloud, manufacturing, and digital transformation, William previously contributed to IDC's Manufacturing Insights and founded a consulting practice in IT-led service innovation. He holds an EngD from Cranfield University and speaks frequently at industry conferences.
