Dr Yang Meng is the Senior Vice President of MGI and Rotating Director of BGI Group, focusing on BT+IT integration and innovative applications of artificial intelligence in life science instruments. He spearheads cutting-edge R&D such as semiconductor self-luminescent sequencers and AI-powered laboratory automation solutions, with achievements published in top journals including Nature sub-journals. He holds over 40 invention patents and having participated in formulating 5 national and industry standards, currently driving AI-enabled breakthroughs in life science technologies, focusing on interdisciplinary fields of sequencing biochemistry, intelligent algorithms and robotics.
