Zhang Binghua is a globally recognised expert in data center infrastructure, known for his deep expertise in IT systems and hands-on leadership. He previously served as General Manager of Baidu’s Systems and Data Centre Engineering departments, where he led global data center planning, site selection, energy efficiency, innovation, construction, and operations. As the chief architect behind Baidu’s infrastructure, Bing Hua played a pivotal role in shaping its technical foundation. Since 2015, Bing Hua has chaired the Open Data Center Committee (ODCC), helping it to become one of the top three open-source organizations in the global data center space alongside OCP and OPEN19. Under his leadership, ODCC has set international benchmarks and contributed to widely adopted standards, including YD/T3291-2017 for prefabricated data center modules. In March 2022, Binghua was appointed Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Bridge Data Centres, where he continues to drive innovation, technical excellence, and hyperscale infrastructure development across Asia and global markets.
