Building Open and Agentic AI Infrastructure
29 Sept 2026
Open Compute Project (OCP) Tech Day
APAC is emerging as one of the fastest-growing regions for AI infrastructure investment, with hyperscalers, telcos, sovereign AI and cloud operators racing to build capacity for the next wave of AI workloads. As these workloads shift from simple inference to agentic AI — autonomous systems that plan, reason, and act — the providers should build on open standards from day one, rather than retrofitting proprietary infrastructure later.
This session looks at what that opportunity means in practice for operators and ecosystem partners across APAC. It covers why agentic workloads demand a different infrastructure mix — more CPU-driven orchestration, denser rack power and cooling, and low-latency, disaggregated fabrics — and how open, community-developed specifications from OCP let regional operators adopt this new architecture with multi-vendor flexibility instead of vendor lock-in.
Attendees will leave with a practical view of how open standards translate into faster deployment timelines, lower total cost of ownership, and greater supply chain resilience for AI data centers being built across APAC today — and what the regional OCP community should prioritize next to stay ahead of demand.
